I haven't heard about the flood here in Cagayan de Oro until I saw a lot of people standing near Marcos bridge yesterday. I thought there was an accident but when I looked down the bridge I saw a lot of houses that were all filled with water. When I reached home, my wife told me that our relatives living at Balulang area were affected by the flood. They left thier houses as flood water rises on their houses. They just brought with them their important documents and left their homes immediately. They were not able to use their car as the road is filled with flood waters. Thank God as all of the members of the family are safe and also the kids. The flood waters had died down now, but they cant return to thier homes yet as it needs a lot of cleaning. My grandmother's house was totally messed up. All of her appliances (TV, computers, refrigerator, etc.) were all wet. But still we thank God for his protection and safety for the family.
